35-21-888 Palm Harbor Lions Club Benefit Open $1020 prize fund plus door prizes 5th Annual Palm Harbor Lions Club Benefit Horseshoe Tournament. Tournament Director: Ron Deckard phone 727-286-8318 cell 727-348-3584. This was a non-sanctioned tournament open to all. Format: Doubles(standing or walking) using regular cancellation scoring. High group to Low group random draw was used to select partners, except for Class C which was pre-determined at the request of the group of 12 players. Payout in each 6 team Class 1st=$150, 2nd=$110, 3rd=$80. Wins/Losses was used to determine the winners with the tie breaker as follows: Head to Head Points, then Total Points. 50/50 Raffle and Door Prizes (about 40) were drawn between 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM. Top door prize was a Vitacci Mangnum 49cc Motor Scooter retail value $999. The Horseshoe Club had Subway sandwiches (meatball & Ham & Chees) for lunch. The meal price was $5 with choice of sandwich and choice of chips and and dessert. Sodas and water were $1. Horseshoes were available for those that don't have their own. A big Thank You to Lion Club Members for getting the cash prize fund of $1020 and all of the many valuable door prizes. Thank You to all of the Horseshoe Club and Lion Club Members that volunteered to make this a very successful event. Thank You all for supporting the Palm Harbor Lions Club benefit tournament. Approximately $2400 was raised to benefit the Palm Harbor Lions Club. Every cent of your donation to the Lions Club is used to support needy people right here in the community. It was a fun day of horseshoe pitching and socializing.
