35-23-888 Palm Harbor Lions Club Benefit Tournament $640 Sponsor Prize Money 7th Annual Palm Harbor Lions Club Benefit Horseshoe Tournament. Tournament Director: Ron Deckard home phone 727-286-8318 cell 727-370-6329. This was a non-sanctioned tournament open to all. Format: Doubles(walking) using regular cancellation scoring. High group to Low group random draw was used to select partners. Thanks go to Lions Club for getting the cash prize fund of $640. Payout in each 6 team Class was 1st=$140, 2nd=$100, 3rd=$80. Wins/Losses was used to determine the winners with the tie breaker as follows: Head to Head Points, then Total Points. We did not record ringers for each player. 50/50 Raffle and over 30 Door Prizes were drawn between 12:00 AM - 1:00 PM. Top door prize was a Electric bicycle retail value $1000. The 2nd door prize was a JVC 50 inch smart TV. 24 players and 33 non-players for a total of 57 names were eligible for the door prizes. Larry & Trish Deckard donated 22 items valued at almost $1000 for the door prize drawings. Thank to the Lions Club and Larry & Trish for all of the great door prizes. The Horseshoe Club sold Subway sandwiches for lunch with choice of chips and dessert. Horseshoes were available for those that don't have their own. Thank you to all of the Horseshoe Club and Lion Club Members that volunteered to make this a very successful event. Every cent of your donation to the Lions Club is used to support needy people right here in the community. It was a fun day of horseshoe pitching and socializing.
