35-22-888 Palm Harbor Lions Club Benefit Open $1020 Prize Fund plus door prizes 6th Annual Palm Harbor Lions Club Benefit Horseshoe Tournament. Tournament Director: Ron Deckard home phone 727-286-8318 cell 727-370-6329. This was a non-sanctioned tournament open to all. Format: Doubles(standing or walking) using regular cancellation scoring. High group to Low group random draw was used to select partners, except for Class C which was pre-determined at the request of the group of 12 players. Thanks go to Lions Club for getting the cash prize fund of $1020. Payout in each 6 team Class was 1st=$150, 2nd=$110, 3rd=$80. Wins/Losses was used to determine the winners with the tie breaker as follows: Head to Head Points, then Total Points. We did not record ringers for each player. 50/50 Raffle and 41 Door Prizes were drawn between 11:30 AM - 1:00 PM. Top door prize was a Vitacci Mangnum 49cc Motor Scooter retail value $1299. The 2nd door prize was a VIZIO 50 inch samrt TV valued at over $300. 36 players and 53 non-players for a total of 89 names were eligible for the door prizes. Larry & Trish Deckard donated 24 items valued at about $1300 for the door prize drawings. Thank to the Lions Club and Larry & Trish for all of the great door prizes. The Horseshoe Club had Wendy's Dave's Singles with cheese for lunch. The meal price was $7 with sandwich and choice of chips and and dessert. Sodas and water were $1. Horseshoes were available for those that don't have their own. Thank you to all of the Horseshoe Club and Lion Club Members that volunteered to make this a very successful event. Every cent of your donation to the Lions Club is used to support needy people right here in the community. It was a fun day of horseshoe pitching and socializing.
