35-17-998 Florida Senior Games 2017 Horseshoes State Finals The Clearwater Horseshoe Club hosted the 2017 FSG Horseshoe Event. Thanks to all of the club volunteers for helping out with setup and scorekeeping. We hope all of the participants enjoyed the fun and competition. Congratulations to all of the medal winners. Players compete in their age group using round robin play. The format of play is count-all scoring with ringers counting 3 points and close shoes 1 point. Players pitch 30 shoe games and the player with the highest score is winner of that game. Medal winners are decided by games won and lost. Class E3 only played 1 game because Doug Hicks had to leave early. The age groups with only 1 player were mixed with another age group so they had a player to pitch with. Charles Buddy Short was the top male player averaging 66.67% ringers. Claudette Braswell was the top female player averaging 53.33% ringers.
